New Delhi: The 8th Edition of the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, Asia’s largest telecom, media, and technology forum, continues to draw attention as it enters its third day. The event has been hosted by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) jointly this year, which showcases unique use cases and eco-friendly digital solutions, with an emphasis on blockchain integration for a range of businesses.

Day three featured a panel discussion on “Revolutionizing Content Creation in India,” where industry leaders, including Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, the Minister for Communications, emphasized the prominence of digital content and strategies to engage the next billion users.

Keeping with the theme “The Future is Now,” renowned CTOs gathered for a breakfast discussion chaired by Minister of State for Communications Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani to reflect on the advancement of emerging technologies and ways to enhance last-minute connectivity. The discussions focused on global best practices to redefine India’s telecom landscape.

Day 3rd, highlights included “Winning in the AI Revolution,” “The 5G Impact: Has it Truly Touched Everyone?”, alongwith “Emerging Trends and Technologies in Broadcasting.” The session was mainly focused on the importance of AI & 5G in boosting economic expansion and influencing the direction of telecommunications. 

Leaders in the sector acknowledged the importance of innovation in quotes. While Salil Khanna of Reliance Jio talked about the revolutionary possibilities of 5G for multimedia applications, Alan Norman of Meta focused on creating immersive experiences. Lastly,  Lt. Gen. Dr. S.P. Kochhar of COAI addressed the financial difficulties that telecom service providers face and the requirement for contributions from significant OTT companies to improve infrastructure. 

However, the event aims to showcase cutting-edge solutions and facilitate collaboration among stakeholders in the technology and telecom ecosystem.
