New Delhi: Qualcomm launched its most powerful mobile processor, Snapdragon 8 Elite, on Monday.  According to what the industry insiders are saying, it is most probably that flagship Android devices like iQOO 13, OnePlus 13, Realme GT 7 Pro, and maybe the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will be run on this specific chipset.

With its Snapdragon X Elite processor for PCs, Qualcomm debuted the Oryon CPU design this year, an architecture that promises notable speed and power efficiency. Such architecture would be an absolute revolution in high-end smartphones.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite is the first instance of Qualcomm using the 3nm process, which is 1nm smaller than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, utilizing a 4nm process. This aspect will result in a 44% boost in power efficiency and a 45% increase in CPU performance. 

According to the company, Qualcomm claims that it is the fastest mobile CPU on the market, with two performance cores running at 4.32GHz and six additional cores clocking in at 3.53GHz. There’s a very high amount of cache, keeping 24MB available for efficiently fast data retrieval.

Apart from raw power, the Snapdragon 8 Elite promises fantastic battery life the perfect device for consumers looking for unparalleled performance without efficiency compromisation. Chris Patrick,  Qualcomm’s senior vice president and general manager of mobile handsets, highlighted the success of Oryon CPU architecture in PCs this year, saying how it offers exceptional experiences and battery life.
